4 Reasons Why You Should Visit the Kingsport Aquatic Center this Summer

1.) Relaxation 
Whether you’re floating down the lazy river or lounging outside soaking in the sun, the Kingsport Aquatic Center is the perfect place to wind down and enjoy your summer. The outdoor water park features the Eastman Credit Union lazy river, which is 900 feet long. Concessions are also available indoors and outdoors.  
 
2.) Get fit 
Did you know that the Kingsport Aquatic Center offers fitness classes? In fact, they offer 11 different kinds! Make a splash while getting in a good workout with everything from interval training, stretching, aqua Zumba and more. In addition to the classes, the aquatic center also has the region’s only indoor, Olympic-size pool—it's considered the fastest pool in Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia! The Palmer Center Foundation warm pool is kept between 84 and 85 degrees and makes for a great place to swim some laps. Swimming is an effective, low-impact form of exercise that’s suitable for all fitness levels.  
 
3.)  Your kids will have a blast! 
Kingsport Aquatic Center’s outdoor water park has two waterslides, a play area with water cannons and the lazy river. The indoor complex has another waterslide, diving boards and a splash pad. Concessions are available for kiddos to have a snack, and trained lifeguards are there to ensure your children stay safe and have fun. If you’re looking for a way to cool down and keep your kids busy over summer break, visit the Aquatic Center. Just don’t forget the sunscreen!  
 
4.) There are several pass options.  
The Kingsport Aquatic Center offers pass options for all kinds of needs. You don’t have to be a member to enjoy the fun! Day passes are offered for access to the entire KAC, but season passes are also available for just the outdoor waterpark. The passes last from May until September—prime swimming season!
